Pulled Pork Chili

It is best to make this chili over a two day period of time. The first day make the pulled pork and put it in the refrigerator with the sauce you cooked it in. The next day you can easily remove the solidified fat from the sauce and the meat. The sauce gets added to the chili when your cooking it.

You want to start with a three pound boneless pork shoulder and cut any excess fat from the pork.

The Sauce.

1. One Cup Regular Barbecue Sauce.

2. One Cup Beer.

3. One Fourth Cup Apple Cider Vinegar.

4. One Fourth Cup Brown Sugar.

5. Two Teaspoons Chili Powder.

6. Two Teaspoons Cumin.

7. One Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.

The best way to cook this is in a large crock pot or slow cooker. Spray the inside of the crock pot or slow cooker with vegetable cooking spray to make clean up easier later.

Put the pork shoulder roast in the crock pot and then mix all the sauce ingredients up in a bowl and pour it in over the pork shoulder roast. Cook on high for about eight hours. After eight hours the pork shoulder should be tender. Remove the fat from the sauce the next day.

Take the pork shoulder out and cut it up in very small cubes or pieces.

Put the cut up pork shoulder and the liquid that is left in a large stock pot. To that pot add.

1 Sweet Onion, diced very fine.

1 Green Bell Pepper, diced very fine.

2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Garlic

1 (28 oz.) can Diced Tomatoes

1 (14 oz.) can Crushed Tomatoes

1 (19 oz.) can Red Kidney Beans, drained, rinsed in cold water, and drained again

1 (19 oz.) can White Kidney Beans, drained, rinsed in cold water, and drained again

2 cups frozen Corn Kernels

You want to bring all your ingredients almost to a boil but not quite and then reduce the heat to a medium simmer.

Cook on medium heat for about two hours until the chili cooks down and comes together into a delicious chili you can be proud of.

Serve your chili over squares of cornbread in a bowl. On the side have bowls of shredded Mexican cheese, sour cream, guacamole, diced sweet onion, sliced jalapeno peppers, tortilla chips, diced tomatoes.

I guarantee you that this will be one of the best chili's you'll ever eat.

Texan Chili Recipe, This is authentic Texas-style chili recipe.

Those very first pots of chili were cooked out on the Texas cattle drives to use up tough cuts of beef. Real Texas Chili doesn't have any beans in it. Though I do make wonderful chili recipes with beans in them. But in this recipe there are no beans. You can if you wish add beans. If you do add beans I suggest adding the contents of a 15 1/2 ounce cans of red kidney beans that you have washed with cold running water.

Ingredients:

3 lbs. Beef Chuck Roast, boneless (cut into 1” cubes)

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

3 Garlic Cloves, minced

3 Tbsp. All-purpose plain Flour

2 tsp. Ground Cumin

3 Tbsp. Chili Powder

1 Tbsp. Dried Oregano

2 (14 oz.) cans Beef Broth

1 tsp. Ground Sea Salt

1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Directions

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Sauté the beef cubes in the oil for 2 minutes. Then reduce the heat to medium and stir in the garlic.

In a small bowl, combine the flour, cumin, and chili powder, then sprinkle the mixture over the meat and stir until evenly coated. Crumble the oregano over the meat and pour in 1 1/2 cans of the broth.

Add the salt and ground black pepper stirring together well. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and let simmer, partially covered for about 90 minutes.

Pour in remaining broth and simmer 30 minutes more, until meat begins to fall apart. Cool, cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors to blend.

This chili will always be better after it has been in the refrigerator over night. I usually leave it three days after I make it and it turns out wonderful.

The Worlds Best Chili Recipe

Here Is The Worlds Best Chili Recipe

I have been cooking now for over thirty years and I truly believe that I make the best chili in the world and I want to share one of my favorite all time chili recipes with everyone. If you want to make and enjoy the best chili ever then here is the recipe.

Author Thomas Byers

If your looking for the worlds best chili recipe then you've found it. Truly the best chili you will ever taste.

You want to start with a three pound boneless beef chuck roast with some fat on it but not to fat. You can start by cutting your beef chuck roast up into 2"X2" cubes and no you don't want to trim away the fat. It goes into the chili.

You will need two things to make a great chili. One thing you need is a big cast iron skillet to brown your cubes of boneless chuck roast in and to later cook your other vegetables in. The other thing you will need is a large stock pot to cook your chili in.

Now you will want to start by cutting your beef chuck roast up into 2"X2" cubes and then brown it off completely in your large cast iron skillet until it is brown on all sides. Once you have your beef chuck cubes completely browned on all sides pour them into your large stock pot.

Now you will want to brown 3 pounds of lean ground beef and 1 pound of ground pork in your cast iron skillet until it is brown. Pour your meat into the large stock pot.

Now you will want to cook the below vegetables in your large cast iron skillet until done but not browned or burned.

1. 3 Cups Purple Sweet Onion Finely Chopped.

2. 3 Cups Green Bell Pepper Finely Chopped.

3. 3 Cups Celery Finely Chopped.

4. 3 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Garlic.

Once you have all your vegetables above cooked until they are cooked thoroughly but not browned or burned add them to your large stock pot.

And now you will want to add the below ingredients to your stock pot.

1. One Twelve Ounce Can of Beer.

2. One Twenty Eight Ounce Can Of Finely Diced Tomatoes.

3. Six Cups Of Beef Broth.

4. One Tablespoon Cumin.

5. Two Tablespoons Hot Sauce.

6. One Tablespoon Unsweetened Cocoa.

7. Four Tablespoons Chili Powder.

8. Two Six Ounce Cans Tomato Paste.

9. One Tablespoon Mexican Oregano.

10. One Teaspoon Sea Salt.

11. One Teaspoon Black Pepper.

12. Six Cups Water.

Once you have everything in the stock pot you will want to bring the pot almost to a boil but not quite. Now reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook until your liquid is reduced and your chili is thickened. You want the chili to cook down and thicken and this is really the reason you can't cook this in a slow cooker or crock pot.

Once you have the chili cooked down and the liquid reduced you are ready to serve your chili and I bet the people who taste it will say it truly is the best chili they have ever tasted.

You can garnish this chili in the individual serving bowls with guacamole , sour cream , and shredded cheddar cheese.
